The herd of mares "Cerro de los Castillejos" is in the property located in a place of the same name , situated in the Sierra morena range of the municipality of Fuente Obejuna, province of Córdoba.

It was bought by my father Antonio Leon Romero in 1985. An old "Cortijo" with little land, which was acquired by far effort and sacrifice, since he was son of emigrants in Switzerland and their parents transmitted him their love to their earth and its traditions. Mainly they transmitted their love by the horses until It arrived the day of his longed return.

In its mind he already dreamed about he wanted to construct for him and his family, a beautiful place where their children and grandsons could live and grow in harmony.

But in this property it lacked something, the horses. And like most of the lovers of these animals, it began with crossed horses. Until a day and with the spirit of its friends bought a stallion and 2 mares. With not time to loose, he worked hard and he began to construct his dream, with his own hands and the aid of his children he create the property "Cerro de los Castillejos" with its 1' 150 Ha of cultivation, holms oaks and rest area for the horses.
